Following a recent meeting with Surrey LA's Jenny Pittam, Catering Services Manager and Diana Hansford, HS Consultant, Surrey schools came on board with DairyCo's School Milk Project.

Only approximately 50% of Surrey schools were offering milk at break time to the children, so the LA has enlisted the help of the School MIlk Project to support the schools not offering milk with a view to starting new schemes. Surrey schools are able to join in the scheme run by Cool Milk, who are the contracted supplier/administrator of the scheme.

Following advice from The School Milk Project, schools in Surrey are now canvassing parents and looking into implementing milk schemes. Many schools have organized class talks, particularly for their Whole School Health Days, and requested the Project's mascot, Charlotte the Cow to attend.  Pictured is a recent event celebrating Farmhouse Breakfast Week at Shere CE Infant School.
