- Milk can be described as one of the most nutritionally complete
foods available.
As well as being a great source of calcium, a serving of milk
contains:
Vitamin B2
(Riboflavin) - for healthy skin (and sparkling
eyes)
Protein - for
growth and repair (hair/nails)
Vitamin B12 - for
red blood cells
Iodine - for
growth
Carbohydrate - for
energy
- Semi skimmed milk is low fat - with 1.7% fat and has just 95
calories per 200ml

- Only 2-3% of the infant population is allergic to milk. It
affects mainly babies and most children grow out of the problem by
the time they are three.
- Milk is 90% water and helps to rehydrate the body
- Around 5 billion litres of milk are sold in Britain each
year and we consume an average of 1.6 litres each a
week
