Milk Link to invest £20 million in Lockerbie Creamery

Milk Link has announced that it will invest £20 million in its Lockerbie Creamery. Work upgrading the creamery's capacity and processing capabilities will commence later this year and is due to be completed by autumn 2012.
Milk Link was the largest cheese producer in GB in 2009/10. As a result of the work, annual cheese production capacity at Lockerbie will increase by 12,000 tonnes to over 37,000 tonnes per annum. This will make the Lockerbie Creamery the largest dairy processing facility in Scotland.
In line with the creamery's increased processing capacity, Milk Link will now be actively recruiting additional Members in South West Scotland to supply the creamery.
