New high for Davidstow milk contract price

In a 7th consecutive milk price increase since July 2010, Dairy Crest has awarded a 0.70ppl price increase for suppliers to Davidstow effective from 1 November 2011. The resultant increase will deliver an all time record price of 29.01ppl according to Dairy Crest after increases totalling 4.70ppl since July 2010.
The November Davidstow increase is consistent with Dairy Crest's commitment to 'pay the UK's leading price for cheese milk'. Other Cheese makers have also made announcements for November - Joseph Heler has announced a 0.5ppl increase for October and a 0.5ppl increase for November and Milk Link is to increase manufacturing contract prices by 0.5ppl in November.
