First Milk launches new children’s dairy brand

First Milk has launched a new children's dairy brand, called 'Dairy Maniacs'. The first product to be released under the brand will be a franchised product in conjunction with DreamWorks Animation, called 'Cheddar Stix'. The product will feature the character, Po the Panda, from the animated film Kung Fu Panda 2, which will be released on June 10.
Each pack will contain six 20g finger shaped portions of mild, white British Cheddar, aimed at the lunchbox and snacking markets. For more information on the new brand see www.dairymaniacs.com.
In addition, during the past week it has been announced that the First Milk has purchased Kingdom Cheese and Kingdom Dairies, both based in Fife in Scotland. The acquisitions mean that First Milk will now offer a range of cottage cheese and soft cheese products to the major retail chains, foodservice wholesalers and food manufacturers, as well as mozzarella and other cheese products for foodservice, wholesalers and pizza chains.
