DairyAmerica to sell SMP at Fonterra Auction

DairyAmerica, which markets products from four major US producer-owned dairy co-operatives, will begin selling Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP) products on the Fonterra Auction on 4 October.  This will be the first time a company other than Fronterra will sell products through the online auction system.

In the future, Dairy America plans to sell other products via the Fonterra auction including nonfat dry milk, buttermilk powder, and whole milk powder.

Dairy America markets approximately 45% of the nonfat dry milk and SMP produced in the United States. It is the single-largest US supplier of these products, supplying both US domestic and export markets.
