First Milk revises creamery plan

First Milk has announced that it will now no longer be moving from its Campbeltown site and will instead install a new cheese-making facility at the current location.  This follows the decision by Tesco not to purchase the site for a new store.  The new facility will be funded through a grant of up to £2m from the Scottish Government and investment by First Milk. 

The current creamery takes milk from 38 farms and employs 100 people.
