HGCA and DairyCo's School Milk Project are working in partnership this year to promote Farmhouse Breakfast Week.
DairyCo's (AHDB) School Milk Facilitators up and down the country, are visiting pupils at various events to talk about the benefits of having breakfast as a good source of energy for the body to help to set them up for the day at school.
Diane Cannon, Project Manager says: "Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign that emphasises the importance of eating a healthy breakfast which includes milk and cereals."
'Think Breakfast', is the theme of this year's celebration to encourage everyone to wake up to breakfast as part of a healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle.
Nutritionists agree that a healthy breakfast is essential for children and gives them a great start to the day.
Diane says: "Starting the day with a healthy breakfast has never been easier, whether waking up to a bowl of nourishing porridge, sitting down to poached egg on toast with a glass of milk or whizzing up a smoothie."
