Butterfat

The average EU butterfat figure for September 2014 stood at 3.91%, up 0.07 percentage points on the month, as expected for annual composition trends. The year on year butterfat level showed a decrease of 0.06 percentage points.

Protein

Average EU milk protein content for September 2014 stood at 3.38%, 0.07 percentage points higher than August 2013. In contrast to butterfat levels, protein has increased on the year by 0.02 percentage points. For more information on protein levels by country click here.
