Exports

  • World exports have been rising and have been forecasted to keep rising in 2013.
  • Cheese exports have provisionally risen by 11.1% from 1,483 to 1,647 between 2011 and 2012.
  • SMP exports rose by 68 tonnes (4.5%) between 2011 and 2012.

Imports

  • All products have, provisionally, seen an increase in 2012 compared to 2011.
  • Butter/butteroil saw an 4.8% increase on the year on the back of 3 year decreases.
  • Powder imports continued to increase strongly year-on-year.
  • Cheese imports are forecasted to increase by 5.1% in 2013.
