Milk Auction Prices

United Dairy Farmers (UDF) has stopped its milk auctions, thought to be the last in Europe. Instead, UDF will now sell members' milk on a normal commercial basis to buyers on short or long term contracts.  Click here to read more about the announcement.

This page provides historical information on the auctions and will no longer be updated.

The last United Dairy Farmers milk auction was held on 24 January 2013 for milk on one month contracts for delivery in February 2013. A total of 40 million litres of milk were sold at an average price of 28.19ppl, 1.16ppl (4.0%) less than last month's auction (29.35ppl). This month's auction price was 0.04ppl (0.1%) more than in January 2012. The volumes sold for January 2013 were 4 million litres (9.1%) less than in the corresponding month a year earlier.
