Heifer Rearing Report

The objective of this report is to review contract heifer rearing. This will include the types of contract provided by a contract heifer rearer and a summary of rearing systems in America, Australia and New Zealand in order to determine the most suitable contract for the UK dairy industry. The review will cover the ways in which a contract heifer rearing agreement may add value to the dairy farm business
by rearing replacements to a higher standard than can be achieved on the "home" farm.
