In June 2000, the Milk Development Council issued a REQUEST FOR RESEARCH TENDERS 'to study potential for a UK fresh milk pricing Code of Practice from the farm to the consumer'. The MDC asked: Could the use of market related formula pricing of fresh milk from farm to consumer be applicable to the UK to provide a stable marketplace for milk.
