A cost-benefit study on the use of vasectomised bulls as an aid to heat detection

The study was conducted on the basis of alternate 28 day periods, with and without the bull, over a 24 week period. Bulls were fitted with a chin ball harness, so that bulling cows were marked, if oestrus activity was not observed.
