Minimising slurry pooling in dairy housing
The aim of this project was to research practical, cost-effective solutions to slurry pooling and to disseminate this information effectively to the farming community. The results of the research formed the basis for an advisory package of information for farmers and others involved in dairy cow housing design and management.
The report identified general performance requirements for dairy cow housing design and management, as a basic checklist, before going on to establish more specific design and management standards.
