Impact of bio-fuels on dairy feeding
This project examined the positive and negative impacts of the biofuels industry on the dairy cow industry. In particular the project focused on:
- the impact of biofuels on the dairy cow feed market
- understanding the impact of supply changes on the economics of dairy cow feeding and cow nutrition
- identifying any foreseeable issues and developing strategies to address them, where appropriate, in the short, medium and long term
- providing recommendations for future work necessary to address identifed issues and strategies
