Introducing the Extension Team for the Cumbria & Lancashire

We help dairy farmers by giving support and technical expertise in area's of farming like tackling dry cow, animal health and welfare. Helping you get the best out of your herd.

As a team we are able to share our knowlegde and expertise with the dairy farming community. Our discussion groups are always a great tool to discover alternative methods and discuss common problems.

What's coming up?

• Karen Lancaster (DairyCo Extension Officer) will be attending the Animal Welfare conference on the 3rd & 4 June in Barcelona.
• Karen Lancaster (DairyCo Extension Officer) will be facilitating the First Milk road show in Lancashire.  DairyCo Extension Officer Chris Coxon will be providing technical input on slurry management.

What's been happening?

• DairyCo Extension Officers Karen Lancaster and Jo Speed spoke at the Carrs Billington summer dairy launches (Lancaster & Penrith), giving an overview of DairyCo and how the two organisations can work together for the benefit of dairy farmers.
• Karen Lancaster also presented at the NFU regional board meeting on what DairyCo does and how DairyCo works across the region with an update on activities both regionally and centrally.
