  • Average milk prices fell in all regions between December and January. The largest price decrease was seen in the South East where the average price decreased by 0.43ppl (1.4%) over the month to 29.36ppl. The next largest decrease was in the South West where prices decreased by 0.39ppl (1.3%) to 29.48ppl. 
  • Between December and January, all regions showed an increase in daily yield. The South East recorded the highest average yield in January, at 28.3 litres/cow.
  • Average butterfat figures decreased in all regions between December and January. The largest decrease of 0.07 of a percentage point was seen in the Midlands and the North/Scot/NI, both falling to 4.06%.
