Kingshay Organic Production

  • Average daily yield increased by 0.5 litres/cow (2.2%) between January and February to 22.8 litres/cow. This is an increase of 0.3 litres/cow (1.3%) year on year.
  • Average butterfat levels stood at 4.13% in February 2012, up 0.4 percentage points from January and 0.12 percentage points higher than the February 2011 figure.
  • Average protein levels increased 0.03 percentage points between January and February to 3.28%. This figure is 0.08 percentage points higher than February 2011.
  • The average organic milk price was reported at 34.66ppl in February, 0.21ppl (0.6%) more than the previous month and 1.7ppl (5.2%) higher than the previous year.

Annual Rolling Averages

Annual rolling results showed that there was an increase of 99 litres per cow (1.5%) in the average yield for the 12 months to February, to a total of 6,925 litres per cow. Average butterfat levels have increased by 0.04 percentage points to 3.99%, whilst protein levels were down 0.01% point to 3.24%. The average milk price increased by 1.15ppl (3.7%) from the previous year to 32.16ppl in February 2012.
