Wales Calf Prices

  • The average price of all beef calves rose between the week ending 14/07/10 and the week ending 21/07/10, with the exception of Friesian/Holstein bulls which fell by £26/head to an average of £51/head.
  • It should be noted that there have not been any sales for Friesian/Holstein heifers for the last 2 weeks. In addition when there are sales, they are usually for a small number of calves and therefore the average price will be significantly affected by the quality of particular animals.
