Wales Consumption & Expenditure
DEFRA's Family Food Survey for 2009 shows that average weekly consumption of all types of milk increased compared to 2008, with the exception of whole milk which fell by 10.1% to 452ml per person per week. Semi-skimmed consumption rose by 16.0% to 1,117ml per person per week, while skimmed milk consumption increased by 12.4% to 199ml per person per week.
Yogurt and fromage frais consumption fell by 21.8% between 2008 and 2009 to 183ml per person per week. Cheese consumption also fell by 6.5% to 116g per person per week, while cream consumption rose by 23.5% to 21ml per person per week.
