Jim Baird

Jim is a partner in family business running 340 cows plus followers on two units covering 450 acres near Lanark. Cows are mainly cross-bred, Autumn block calved and run on a forage based system.

He also has a position on the Scottish Advisory Board of the NFU Mutual, DairyCo's Research Advisory Forum and First Milk's Chairman's Advisory Committee. He recently completed a Masters in Business Administration at University of Strathclyde's Graduate School of Business and is currently undertaking a Nuffield Scholarship.
