Introducing the DairyCo Board in your area
The DairyCo board of twelve include the chairman, eleven dairy
farmers located across Britain and one independent member, who all
operate very different production systems including a New Zealand
type grass system, organic systems with another under conversion
and high input, mixed and pedigree systems.
As well as this high representation of farmers - which is
appropriate considering the levy is only raised from dairy farmers
- The board members consist of people both from inside and outside
the industry including dairy processors, and the chairman.
The board members assist the chair in developing strategy, managing the financial position and ensuring effective governance, contribute to the dairy industry and make a difference to AHDB as an organisation. DairyCo is the dairy division of The Agricultural and Horticulural Development Board, AHDB and is funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain through the collection of statutory financial levies.
